Participating Dentist Agreement. Through the Participating Dentist Agreement, Delta Dental and the dentist work together to provide affordable care. Among the provisions of the agreement, dentists agree to file claims on behalf of Delta Dental patients, allow his or her name to be listed in participating dentist directories, not to "balance bill" patients for amounts above the maximum plan allowance and agree that subscribers will not be charged more than the pre-established copayment amount.

Delta Dental is committed to promoting efficiency in your office by providing the tools and information you need to make it easy to work with us. Our Professional Relations staff, all of whom have prior dental office experience, regularly visit participating dentists' offices to answer questions, explain policies or conduct in-office training. Our Professional Relations team can provide the following services:
Seminars/Workshops. Delta Dental schedules seminars and workshops in various locations around the state to assist dental office personnel on how to complete claim forms for Delta Dental and to answer any questions on Delta Dental's processing policies. Both beginning and advanced seminars and workshops are available so the level of staff instruction can be geared to the needs of your office staff.
Individual Office Visits. Perhaps you have a specific question in your office that requires more than a phone call or letter to fully resolve the issue. Or perhaps you have hired new personnel that are unfamiliar with Delta Dental's policies. You can arrange for a Professional Relations representative to personally visit your office and provide you with the answers you need in a timely manner.
