 Q: I do not have dental insurance and need treatment. Can you refer me to a clinic where I can receive treatment?
 A: Delta Dental of Kansas (DDKS) does not make referrals and does not operate any dental clinics. DDKS does support charitable dental clinics that provide treatment either free of charge or at a reduced rate. Click here for a list of dental hub/spoke and safety net clinics.
 
 Q: What are your grant criteria and how can I apply for a grant?
 A: Visit the Dental Health Grants section of our website for more information on our grants.
 
 Q: If my organization is located outside of Kansas are we eligible for grants?
 A: Organizations requesting grants must have a physical presence in the state of Kansas to be considered for funding.
 
 Q: What types of projects are funded?
   A:
  • Dental supplies for charitable purposes
  • Dental education and prevention materials
  • Xylitol and fluoride products
 
  Q: What types of projects are not funded?
   A:
  • Administrative costs, including salaries
  • Projects outside the state of Kansas
  • Lobbying
  • Political organizations or political campaigns
  • Ongoing general operating expenses or existing deficits
  • Projects not related to oral health
  • Fundraising events
  • Individual treatment costs
 
 Q: How many grant cycles per year does DDKS have?
 A: Generally, one Dental Health Grant cycle and Smile Kit Program requests.
